Take It or Leave It takes consignments from individuals, estates, estate sale businesses, auction houses and asset liquidation companies.
Our 12,000+ square foot store and storage facility enables us to take almost any size item as well as large lots from single consignors.
Consignment Policy:
Step 1: Send us a picture of the furniture items you wish to consign.

We will reply either by phone or email as to whether we would take your item on consignment.
Step 2: Choose the most convenient way to get your items to the store. We do pick ups or if you prefer to bring them in yourself, that's fine. Items are taken weekdays only and by appointment. For pickup, please call us for a quote.
Pricing
Items taken on consignment must have a minimum initial store value of $20.00. Although we cannot determine starting prices from your photos, we can give you a general idea of the range it would sell for in our store. Ultimately, pricing is left up to the consignor, but we can also set the price if requested. We reserve the right to refuse any item deemed unsaleable.
A small buyer's fee is added to all consigned items. This fee is paid by the buyer of your consignment item to reimburse the store for the time and supplies used to price and tag inventory
Consignment Terms
Items are placed on consignment for a 12 week term. The first markdown of 15% off occurs after 6 weeks. The second markdown of an additional 15% off occurs after 10 weeks. Consignors reclaiming merchandise prior to the completion of the 12 week term will be charged 15% of the current selling price plus any pick up fees incurred. Upon completion of the 12 week consignment term, a two week grace period will be given to consignors who wish to reclaim expired merchandise. Any items remaining in the store after 14 weeks are considered forfeited and otherwise abandoned and become the property of Take It or Leave It. No phone nor written notice will be given by Take It or Leave It. No exceptions.
Drop off and Pick up of Merchandise
Any items being consigned must be unpacked by the consignor. In addition, any items being picked up must be located and packed by the consignor. All packing materials are to be supplied by the consignor. Appointments are necessary to pick up expired merchandise.
Commission
We split the selling price 50/50; consignors receiving 50% of the selling price.
Step 3: Checks are mailed unless the consignor notes otherwise.

What do you charge to consignors?
50% of the sale price of any item. Please see our Consignment Policy above for details.
Is there anything you won't take?
While there may be the odd exception, in general we don't take old clothes, books or electronic equipment, or any modern furniture that is in poor condition (see list above). If you have a question, just ask us.

Do you do auctions or estate sales?

Do you do FREE auctions for charitable organizations?
Yes, we do a limited number of free auctions - live and silent - for charitable organizations. Please call or email us at Gary@takeitorleaveit.com for more information.
Do you do deliveries?
Yes, we do pickups for items to be consigned and deliveries for items purchased. The charge depends on the number of items, their size and location of delivery. Please call for an exact quote.
